Capt. Barry's Cruise was fabulous!

What a great time!    We felt like kids again!

First on our back bay adventure agenda: clamming

catching clams clammers

We didn't have a clue we'd be in this water! But we sure had fun! Right:  We saw others clamming so we weren't alone in our insaneness.

This is how our feet looked after clamming.

Here's some of the sea creatures and sea life we discovered along the way.

Sea grass and a Horseshoe crab

We didn't think we'd be handling these sea creatures either but we did!

Below: The nemesis of the beach, the feared jellyfish! A pic is the closest you want to get to a sea nettle! The head is still intact but the tentacles are barely visible. Some beach goers say their sting is like our bee stings and some say they are nasty stings! For jellyfish stings, Capt. Barry's remedy is Vick's Vapor Rub then add steak tenderizer.

Left pic: this is part of a jellyfish beached on a bed of shells.  Right pic: Capt. Barry is holding part of a jellyfish. We did get to see a live floating jellyfish that stings, but there's no picture as we all got on the boat ASAP! Capt. Barry picked up the jellyfish to show us what they look like, a clear mushroom head with tentacles.
